Yacht types

Sailing yacht
The classic monohull sailing boat: lively under sail, usually 2 to 5 cabins and the best price per person.

Sailing catamaran
Two hulls, more space and stability, a large cockpit and nets at the bow. The favourite for families and groups.
See catamarans ↗
Motor yacht
Motor yachts and power catamarans: faster between islands, no sailing involved. Fuel comes on top of the charter price.

Gulet
A traditional wooden yacht with its own crew and cook, mainly in Turkey and Croatia: the whole boat for your family or group, with meals on board.

Canal boat
Drive the boat yourself on calm canals and rivers, mainly in France. No licence is required: the base gives you a short briefing before you set off.
Canal du Midi guide ↗With or without crew
Bareboat
You skipper the yacht yourself. At least one person on board needs a recognised sailing licence and experience, and the operator checks both.
Skippered
A local skipper sails the yacht and knows the anchorages, so you can relax or learn. The skipper's fee comes on top of the charter price.
Fully crewed
A skipper and a host or cook on board, often with meals included, for a hotel-style week at sea.
Who you book with
SeekSail and LangkawiCruise, one team
SeekSail and LangkawiCruise
SeekSail (seeksail.com) is a yacht charter agency for week-long sailing holidays, with yachts from selected operators in Thailand, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. It is run by the same team as LangkawiCruise.com, so you can ask us about a charter abroad as easily as about a cruise in Langkawi.
Who your booking is with
Bookings made on seeksail.com are with SeekSail, Inc., a company registered in the United States, and with the yacht operator, under the operator’s charter terms. If you live in Malaysia, we can arrange your charter through Sinergia Travels Sdn Bhd, the licensed Malaysian travel agency that runs LangkawiCruise.com (MOTAC licence 10734).
