Practical tips
Good to know
December to March is the dry season; from May to October it rains more, usually for an hour or two at a time. Rent a car or scooter, or use taxis and Grab. The currency is the Malaysian ringgit (MYR): cards are widely accepted, but carry some cash for small purchases. English is widely spoken in tourist areas.
Pack light clothes, swimwear, good walking shoes, sun protection and insect repellent. See what to pack and more things to do in Langkawi.
